Ella, Sri Lanka

As soon as we arrived in this little mountain town, I fell in ❤! Pretty views, yummy food, perfect cool weather. 😍

Everyday we’d walk on the railway tracks behind our homestay, because it was the quickest, less stressful way to move around a mountain town. (Because it was flat!)

A bit creepy when you hear a train coming, but I figured, as long as I could see a local walking in front of me… I was totally safe 😂

Railways and MOuntains

We left Ella to head to Kandy in style: through the train tracks built by the then British empire.

It did not disappoint.

If you had the guts to stand by the always-open train doors, you could see trees and plantations whizzing past you, thousands of meters below you.

We were zigzagging through mountains. It was breathtaking.
